The Patient-Specific-Medical-Design Knowledge Transfer Centre is a unique offering from PDR’s Medical Applications Group to support welsh companies who want to personalise, customise or otherwise tailor their products to individual’s anatomical requirements.

Over the last 12 years we have worked closely with healthcare professionals to advance design and manufacturing technologies for use in general or patient-specific applications. We appreciate clinical pressures and use our knowledge and design expertise to improve devices and products for the benefit of you and your patients. The result is a strong collaboration between the creative energy of those at the front-line of patient services coupled with internationally renowned product design and development techniques.

Our patient-specific design centre aligns the needs of clinicians, patients and health services with those of companies in order to develop new services and devices. We help companies and NHS specialists collaborate to develop competitive advantage through the introduction of services and products which are tailored to individual patient needs.

PDR combines extensive product design and development expertise with the ability to process and manipulate medical scan data and manufacture bespoke devices in-house. Combined with comprehensive process management knowledge and strong reciprocal links with healthcare specialists, we are focussed on helping businesses and the healthcare sector meet modern healthcare needs.
